I am in the midst of reading this book by Jerry Weintraub subtitled, “useful stories from a very persuasive man”. When I read the excerpt above I knew I wanted to share it on a blogpost.
Things happen when you believe in yourself without a doubt. All that negative stuff you are thinking will prevent things from happening.
This is the Law of Attraction. If you say you want something but subconsciously you have reasons why it may not happen, then it probably won’t happen. You attract what you are thinking about, and if you are ambivalent the universe gives you back ambivalence.
When others tell you that you can’t do something just remember that some opinions and beliefs are the consensus of society and don’t necessarily have to be true for you individually. Evolution and creation happens because people have new ideas and new beliefs.
Jerry Weintraub tells the story of when he literally had a dream that he would promote Elvis Presley. The next morning he called Elvis’s manager to tell him that he wanted to take Elvis on tour.
He was rejected but that didn’t stop him. He called every day for months. Finally after a year he was given the opportunity. And it made him a millionaire.
