Many people wish to earn money online. Having a blog or website that is monetized can provide you with a source of passive income. Wouldn’t it be nice to quit your job and work from home? It is very possible to do this but there are a few qualities you should have to be successful.

  1. Writing comes easily to you. Since you will be doing alot of writing via posting, adding website content and article marketing you should have a good grasp of grammar and the art of written communication.
  2. You should have a knack for doing research. Most research is done right here on the internet. Much of your time is spent searching for solutions to about anything pertaining to your blog or website.
  3. Do you consider yourself creative? You will be involved in things like design, layout, colors, fonts, and positioning. You will have to think of topics to write about, products to promote, and how to generate traffic.
  4. You should have a love for marketing and sales. Internet marketing entails finding your niche and your target market, generating traffic and then increasing the ways your visitors will actually make a purchase. If you enjoy the rewards of seeing your sales then making money online may be for you.
  5. Determination, perseverance and intention. Having these qualities will take you a long way. Making money online does not happen overnight.

I will add one more quality that I would consider more of a “plus” and that is being computer savvy and having the ability to learn quickly. For most people learning the technological aspects of making money online is a learning process, especially because technology changes often and swiftly.
